Ravenclaw Common Room

[Gavin Dean]

" Hi, Amira," Gavin smiled, "how about we practice in the common room instead?"

[Amira Radke]

"That would be great", she got out some parchment to write notes on,"Have you thought of a spell?"

[Amira Radke]

"Locomotor Mortis, with the counter Finite Incantatum?"

[Gavin Dean]

Gavin was looking at his notes at the available charms to do, and looked through the book for a spell to research. "To research or practice?" Gavin asked Amira, "I assume to research, since I don't think that's a spell we can practice.."

[Amira Radke]

"Yes for research. What exactly do we do for the research? Say what it does and stuff?"

[Gavin Dean]

"We research a defensive spell, and that's it. Just say what it does and when you would use it, I assume," Gavin shrugged.

[Amira Radke]

"Okay then, the spell I just said locks an oppenent's legs together, I guess you would use this when you are trying to get away from them?"

[Gavin Dean]

Gavin nodded, "I guess. It's hard to determine if it's a defensive spell or not, it seems more defensive than the severing charm," he said, "it splits objects. I guess it could be defensive if someone was throwing something at you."

[Amira Radke]

"Possibly, which one would you like to research?"

[Effy Brookes]

Effy came from the girl's dormitory, braiding her hair as she walked down the stairs. She'd woken earlier than usual but soon realized that it was pointless, as she needed to go to the Great Hall with someone else, due to the current rules. Effy wondered when everything would be back to normal, well, as normal as things could get at Hogwarts. Though, because of the night that they had spent in the Great Hall, she was a bit shaken, her fears had passed slightly and she now simply wished that everything involving Sirius Black would just die down.
With nothing else to do, and not wanting to work on schoolwork at this hour, Effy curled up on a chair nearest to the fire and read, waiting for her fellow housemates to awaken.

Effy was writing her astronomy assignment, not wanting to start on DADA just yet. She expected to go to the Great Hall for dinner soon, but was waiting for someone to come around for her to hang out with. It seemed very empty in the Ravenclaw tower today.

[Gavin Dean]

Gavin groaned and pushed hisDADA homework aside. He was not feeling the assignment at all.

[Amira Radke]

"Do you want to do it at another time?", she asked. "hey effy!"

[Amira Radke]

Amira walked in and tried to remember how many fingers she still had up.

[Gavin Dean]

Gavin walked back to the common room and sat down on the floor by the fire place, holding up nine fingers. "Whose turn was it? Mine?"
