Ginny looked up to Percy, "Yes, mum wrote me just yesterday. I wonder what's going on with Black. I haven't heard much about him either."

Percy nodded. "I suppose she was just checking up on us then." He looked at the twins. "I wonder what those two troublemakers are up to this time."

Ginny rolled her eyes. She had learned to ignore her brothers. She knew that they didn't mean much harm and they could take care of themselves. "Oh, let them get in trouble for it by themselves. It's not like they're going to kill anyone."

Fred entered the common room with George, and they sat down in two comfortable chintz armchairs in the corner of the room, so they could discuss their new pet in peace.
Fred pulled out the bag with the cat in it and set it on the table, " 'S a lot heavier than I expected. Honestly, how can a cat get this fat? What's he been feeding her?"

It took him a second to realize where he was but soon figured it out; the Gryffindor common room. He wondered if he was the first Slytherin to ever make it in here.

Fred took out his wand and lazily twirled it between his fingers, the tip leaving a faint glow in its wake. "Hmm, I guess we could always just leave it petrified in Filch's office."

He tried his hardest to move, finding Fred's words alarming.

George loosened the drawstring and removed the now-statuesque cat. As he held it in his hands he noticed that it didn't look like Mrs. Norris at all. In fact, it was far from it. Mrs. Norris had dust-colored fur with brown stripes, while this cat was jet black.
"Fred, take a look at...him" he said as he peered at the cat's undercarriage.

Fred returned from his thoughts and set his wand on the table. As he took the cat from George, he noticed that it was a black cat that he'd never seen before.
"Bloody hell, George. Who's cat is this?"

George took the cat back and set it on the table. "I dunno. Never seen it before. Maybe Mr. Norris?"

His eye's darted back and forth, wondering if he changed back would he still be petrified. He pushed the thought out of his mind, knowing it was an awful idea. If only there was some way to get free, he thought.

Fred snorted. "Hmm, doesn't look like a proper husband, now does he?"
Fred picked up his wand and started thinking, "Now, since Filch will have to take the cat back to Dumbledore to remove our Body-Bind curse, we should probably make him presentable. And I'm sure the rest of the school wouldn't mind seeing Mr. Norris. After all, I never knew there ever was one."
