Jake sat in the common room reading through a very complicated text on Ancient Runes. He rubbed his eyes and went back to rereading it.

Ron was laying down on the couch when he received an owl from Amira. He scribbled a quick reply and handed it back to the owl. "Here. Back to her." Ron said and watched the owl flew away.

Ron woke up and realized that he had fallen asleep on the couch. He quirk his head up a little and glanced at the time to see that it was only four in the morning. He groaned and lay down back on the couch,as he stared up at the ceiling and a million of thoughts were running through his head.

Ron tossed and turned and couldn't quite get back to sleep. With a heavy sigh,he sat upright and looked around. The common room was peaceful. He stood up and made his way up to the dorm.

Hermoine sat on the couch and pulled out a book to study from. Turning the book to page 334, where she had left off, she continued to read.

Ron walked into the common room and flopped himself down on the couch,sighing a little.

Hermione picked her head up and saw that it was Ron. Closing and putting away her book Hermione migrated over to behind his couch. Reaching forward Hermione took Ron's shoulders into her hands and began to messuage them.

Jake went back to the common room looking for a book he'd left there earlier that morning. He thought it had been on the table but now it was no where to be seen and a summoning charm wasn't working. He fell on the couch in defeat to think.

Fred entered the common room and sat down in an armchair near Jake. "Hey Jake, have you seen the points? I can't believe Slytherin won again. They were behind Ravenclaw and suddenly caught up. Unbelievable"

Jake looked over. "Hey Fred, no I wasn't paying much attention but I'm not surprised, they probably did something sneaky to win," he said.

"I hope we win this time. We're already in second, but we need more people to take classes. Lucky those Slytherins have Snape. Probably get five points apiece just for waking up in the mornings." said Fred. "Too bad McGonagall would never do that."

"Maybe we should all start wearing tartan and see how it goes," Jake said jokingly and nodding in agreement with his other statement. An owl landed, he responded, and sent it off.

Fred grinned. "You know," he said in reply, "that's not a bad idea. We'll have to try it someday." Fred looked around the room, thinking about things to do to alleviate his boredom. "I've got to go find George. See you later, Jake." he said as he exited the common room.

Jake laughed at the thought. "Sounds good. See ya Fred!" he said still laughing to himself. Suddenly he spotted his book across the room. "Ah ha!" he exclaimed as he walked over to get it.

Another owl came and Jake read the note before leaving.
