Ron gulped and just merely nodded at Professor McGonagall. "Yes,Professor. Goodnight." Ron cocked an eyebrow at Harry and watched Professor McGonagall leave the common room and he put his feet up on the table,sighing.

Ron remembered that he left his sweet treats laying around and sat upright,looking around to catch a glimpse of it. He hoped that no one had stolen it away from him. Out of the other corner of the coffee table,lay his large box. Grinning to himself,he summoned the box and it dropped right onto his lap and he chew on some licorice wands while leaning back against the couch.

Once McGonagall had left Harry said, "I should probably sign up for her class, shouldn't I?"

Ron chuckled lightly. "Yeah,mate. You should before she blew us up about being in her house and not signing up for her classes." He laughed and chew on more licorice wands. "You want some?" He asked,handing it out to Harry.

"Do you need to ask?" Harry joked as he took a few of the licorice wands."Things sure have been boring around here," he said, sighing as he hungrily ripped off part of the wand with his teeth.

Ron laughed. "Yeah,it certainly is," He agreed. "Mate,I have something to tell you,actually. Something very important." He stuttered a little at his words.

"Yeah?" Harry asked, "What is it?" He was worried that something bad happened with Ginny or someone else in his family. Or maybe his father told him something about Voldemort.

"I'm-dating-Hermione." Ron said,a little slower now to let Harry catch those words. He wanted to run or close his eyes,afraid of his best friend's reaction but he was his best friend,after all. He looked at Harry intensely,awaiting his reply.

Ron's eyes went wide. "Harry,why are you laughing?" He asked and scratches his head a little. "I am dating Hermione." He emphasized those words and his face was serious and not a hint of smile.

"Hey,Jake!" Ron turned to see that Jake had came in. "Harry is laughing because I told him I'm dating Hermione. He thinks I'm joking." He told Jake. "Go on,tell him Jake.. I'm not joking,right?" Ron nodded at Harry's comment. "You're not mad,are you?" He asked Harry.
