The corridor below the prefects' bathroom leads from the nearest staircase to the prefects' bathroom on the floor above and has a tapestry hanging about halfway down the corridor. This tapestry conceals a narrower staircase forming a shortcut that leads down two floors, watch out for the trick step. The bottom of the staircase is also concealed by a tapestry.

The fourth floor near the Library. A seventh year Ravenclaw was on her way back to the tower as she bumped into Ron. "It's alright. Just quickly go back to the tower. Be safe too. Have a goodnight!" He called out to the girl who thanked him and hurried herself off. He made his way up the staircase not wanting to stop at the fifth floor as it was the Prefect's Bathroom.

Cedric walked about a floor above now. He had finished his browsing but even towards the end of it, he wasn't feeling tired, he wasn't feeling sleepy, he was just awake and grrrrrrrrrrr, it was still irking him.
