Blake smiled to the new boy and bid him goodbye and good luck, waving to Nyssa when she passed happily. He stayed where he was waiting for Professor McGonagall to return. To be honest he was nervous as to why he was asked to stay behind which forced his bare feet to shuffle across the floor, creating an odd and muffled scratching sound.

Minerva came back up the stairs and snatched Blake up by the shoulder, "Follow me young man."

Blake's indigo eyes widened but he followed Professor McGonagall out without a protest hoping he wasn't going to be killed by the strict Professor.

Cedric came up from the marble staircase and rubbed the back of his head again as he looked around for McGonagall. She was no where to be found.

Minerva had doubled back from going up the stairs to return to the Entrance Hall having forgotten her own plans in her old age. "Mr. Diggory! Where is he?" She looked around for the Japanese transfer and found no one but one tall, British boy who was ready and dressed for the school day.

"Er... Well. Y'see, Professor." Cedric shifted on his feet, "He kind of sort of fell asleep.."

Minerva looked at Cedric incredulously then realized she was speaking about a boy who transferred all the way to Scotland from Japan. She nodded and waved Cedric off, "Very.. very well then, you may go Mr. Diggory. I will owl him later. Thank you Mr. Diggory and do have a pleasant day."

Minerva morphed back into her tabby and went back to running up to the Headmaster's office to exchange the words she had planned. She had secured their exchange student a guide now he just needed to secure him a schedule.

Draco stood in the Great Hall with a bundle of food, round the room to take the stairs to the dungeons. Feu and his insatiable hunger had him out when he didn't want to be. "Real nice guy I'm becoming," he mumbled under his breath as he disappeared into the dark.

Harry had made his way down from Gryffidnor tower, considering going out on the grounds for his walk. He was less likely to be caught out there. He walked slowly down the corridor, wishing that he had his cloak, but the twins were still in possession of it, and his map.

Draco came up from the dungeons' stairs and shined his badge like he would a prized possession. He ran a hand through his platinum blond hair and sauntered about in his usual swagger. Catching sight of some kid he called out, "Hey! You! It's past weekday curfew! Get back to your common room."

Hearing Draco Malfoy's pretentious little voice, Harry called out over his shoulder, "You tell 'em," and continued down the hallway, not wanting him to ruin a perfectly pleasant evening.

It was Potter! Of all the nerve! "I was talking to you, you dimwit. Ten points form Gryffindor for being out after hours." Draco kept walking after Harry though he was a lot more tense now. Potter always made his skin crawl.
