"You're difficult, stubborn, can't make up your mind, challenge me, confuse me, and one of the most amazing people I have ever met," Jake finished, looking up at her with his head still laying there.

Nyssa turned to look at him. "You're silly," she said with a smile then closing her eyes for a moment. She was tired but she didn't want Jake to worry again.

"You tell me that all the time," Jake smiled brightly. He looked at her as she shut her eyes and his frown came back only briefly. "Nothing I say is going to make it better is it?"

"I don't want to improve you, only to help you see that who you are doesn't need improvement," Jake said, still frustrated by her lack of self confidence but understood, he thought, where it was coming from... maybe.
