Nyssa jumped and let out a high pitched squeak and almost landed in his lap. "That isn't very nice. Listen, I have to go meet with someone to do some Transfiguration work. I'll see you later ok?" She leaned back across the table to pack up her bag. She slung her bag over her shoulder and gave Jake a hug before getting down from the table and heading off to the library.
(Random fact: My friends used to have fun doing that to me when I least expected to see how far I would jump)

Jake laughed at her reaction. "Bye Nyssa, have fun working," he said still laughing and hugged her back. After she left he packed up his things and decided to go for a walk.
(Bye! I do that to my friend all the time.)

Nyssa walked in to the Great Hall to grab a quick bite to eat before going up to the Common Room. She noticed Lily and Jake at the Gryffindor table and went over. She snuck up behind Lily and gave her a hug, "Happy Birthday... again," she said cheerfully.

"Great! Have a seat if you'd like." Jake motioned to the table looking at Nyssa. "Yes, I liked the gift very much Lily, but aren't people supposed to give you gifts?" Jake said, chuckling.
