"Cause carrots will completely prevent that," Nyssa said waving her fork full of carrots around with a laugh. "People shouldn't worry about me." This concept was beginning to annoy her.

Gavin grinned and ruffled Nyssa's hair, "thattagirl," he said and pushed his plate in front of him. "Do you know when the second task is, by any chance?"

"Not a clue," Nyssa said shaking her head before undoing her hair with the intention of putting it back up in a ponytail.

Gavin touched Nyssa's hair, "you should leave it down for the rest of the day," Gavin said and brushed her hair out, "it looks nice."

Gavin grinned and got ice cream for him and Nyssa, drenching it with hot fudge, nuts, whipped cream,and sprinkles. "Care to share a sundae with me?" he asked.

"Of course," Nyssa said with a smile remembering their first date but not wanting to bring it up.

Gavin gave Nyssa a spoon and he took the first bite. It was nice to share food. It brought people closer together and Gavin felt happy with Nyssa. He knew they would not work out but restrengthening their friendship was better than nothing.

Nyssa ate a spoonful of ice cream slowly pulling the spoon from her mouth as she thought. "How have you been? I feel like we haven't really talked in a while." She knew it was completely her fault they hadn't been talking but she didn't want to admit that.
