Gavin shrugged, "I thought about chaser, got second thoughts, maybe seeker, got third thoughts, maybe chaser again, then fourth thoughts, maybe ask for quidditch captain," Gavin said.

"You should not be Seeker, because that's what I want," Effy laughed, "You should be chaser and captain. I definitely thought of you for being our captain."

Gavin shrugged, "I unno," he said, "maybe I'm a better seeker," he said playfuly, "and I'll definately talk to the headmaster about applying to be captain."

"Don't even..." Effy said, in a serious tone. She smiled and laughed, "You should be captain though, for sure. I told the headmaster that I'd be willing to be captain if no one else stepped up."

"I heard that Pansy Parkinson got Prefect for Slytherin, so the Headmaster must be starting to assign the rest of the prefects."

Gavin nodded, "I noticed that too. We are the only house, as far as I remember, who does not have a boy prefect. I wonder if the female prefect will be changed too, I never see Gwennie around."

"I think the last time I saw her was the night we spent in the Great Hall, but I hadn't seen her for a while before that.... I wonder as well if the Headmaster will reassign the female prefect. I wouldn't mind being Prefect at all. Although I did have that little hiccup on my record with sneaking out and such...."
