I would say no to formal French classes but I believe there is an open slot in the ROR that could be used for a languages club.

Headmaster, might I persuade you with my dazzling smile? Ah, Ron, if anyone would be the head it would be Professor Lupin.

I have read, however I have two nitpicking situations:
1. I dislike it when people converse with their own characters. I believe that we should be rping with everyone and not just to oneself. The issue is that if you are just rping with yourself you are basically writing your own fanfiction on the rp board. I do not want to read that, I am here to interact. And contrary: a lot of us know who the multiple rpers so, it is frustrating to see that.
2. People need to act their age. If you are a second year, you cannot have the knowledge of a seventh year. I can't even do that, and I'm Hermione Granger. That same idea goes for any level of schooling, I just chose second year because that is the lowest level we have due to the fact that no one wants to play a firstie. Not everyone is a genius just like not everyone's incredibly stupid.
3. (I know I lied, however I just thought of this and do not want to go and redo my beginning statement.) I have run a few of these boards, and I have seen them absolutely destroyed by Mary Sues and the like. Not everyone's parents were kidnapped or murdered. Not everyone is an orphan or was a victim of child abuse or rape. If they are than Hogwarts is obviously a very dangerous place that could resemble a mental hospital. Just keep that in mind. Also: creating characters named Mary Sue is a bad idea, just like creating characters from such movies as Rocky Horror Picture Show and Beetlejuice. This is speaking from experience. It's a bad idea, and not nearly as clever as you think it is. *Shudder*.
Hermione's rant has ended.

'Mione, I completely agree with number three. Reading through all the character profiles is depressing because of the backgrounds a lot of the characters have. We know Harry lost his parents and I understand a few deaths (like Theo's mum) but man, a lot of our fellow peers grew up with one parent or none. I also agree with number one.

Personally, my favorite pasts are ones of rich families who own everything in sight.
