Blake took it the parchment thankfully and the piece of his letter back, "Thank you Headmaster! I'll take care of the room and keep it neat, I promise!"

The Headmaster sat in his office working late into the night as usual. He sighed and removed his glasses to rub his eyes.

Oliver's ascent stopped directly in front of the Headmaster's door. Hesitantly, he raised a shaky fist and softly knocked on the door.

The Headmaster looked up. "Come in." He said softly, wondering who could be out of bed at this late hour. He put down his quill, his glasses once again in place on the end of his nose. He folded his hands expectantly on his desk.

Upon hearing the Headmaster's approval, Oliver's hand reached for the door and pushed it open. He slowly walked inside and closed the door with a soft click. "Er- Good evening Headmaster."

"Mr. Lloyd." The Headmaster nodded in greeting. "Have a seat. What brings you to my office and out of bed so late at night?" He lifted his wand, waving it in the direction of a tea set nearby which immediately began to pour tea into two cups. "Sugar?"

His mouth quirked a smile at the Headmaster's greeting. Oliver made a move to take a sit. "Thank you sir. I'm awfully if I bothered you in any way. I just wanted to talk to you about something quite important," he quickly apologized, "and yes please," Oliver added.

He nodded politely. "I will not interrupt you. Tell me what is on your mind." He sent the cup to sit in front of Oliver, pouring a bit of milk into his cup as well, a small spoon stirring the tea on its own.

"Uhm, okay," Oliver said uncertainly. He had prepared what to say before he even got here, but it proved to be difficult just to start. "Okay. So, I don't know if you would be pleased when I tell you this. But sir, I-" he stopped as his embarrasment completely clouded his mind with anxiety. Oliver cleared his throat before starting to speak again. "I'm sorry sir, but I'm afraid that I- I... I have a child."

The Headmaster showed no change in emotion. He sipped his tea slowly and looked up over his glasses. His face showed that he was waiting for the young man to continue.

He pursed his lips into a determined line and continued. "My son, he's about a month and a half now. He's still at a Muggle hospital back home. He is in a critical situation, sir. The doctors tell us that its just a disease. It happens although not all the time. But I believe that my magical abilities might have affected him," Oliver narrated. While he was sharing this to the Headmaster, tears were starting to build up again. It was not easy for Oliver to share this to others. But he wants to do anything he can to be there for his son. "Headmaster, I am confident and I believe that my son is strong and he is a fighter. But I need to face the reality that anything could happen at any given moment. I came here tonight to ask you sir if I could possibly get a chance to visit my son occasionally."

After a moment of taking in the story the Headmaster set his teacup down. "While I do wonder how a young man such as yourself has a son it is not my place to judge and so I will not. Quite honestly I care not and I will tell you why. Because you are clearly a loving father your age does not play a factor in my opinion. Of course I will give you permission to visit him. I would even encourage you to bring him here if you feel that the muggle hospital is not doing enough for him. One of our students is quite skilled in potions and has been using his abilities to assist medical locations. If he is being affected by your magical abilities I would not doubt that it may be better for us to treat him." He took a light breath and removed his glasses. "Of course that is your choice. I could arrange for a healer from St. Mungo's to visit him to help address the situation as well."
He gave a smile and nodded. "Whenever you wish to go please alert me and I will get you there safely. Should you decide you want him to be treated by healers or at the school here I will be more than willing to arrange it."

Oliver sighed. A great feeling of relief flooded him. Now, he could be assured of the Headmaster's assistance. "Thank you so much sir. You have no idea how this means to me. Thank you for your kind heart," Oliver gushed his face now split by a wide and truly joyous grin. "Thank you for your advices, I will seriously think over and consider them. Thank you sir, really," he ended in a whisper, his hands covering the elder's.
