"I would like the pairs to be from other houses... but that is for my own selfish reasons," Arya giggled and covered her lips with her fingers. "I suppose it wouldn't matter though. I would like the culture fest to be a success and if you are stuck working with someone you don't want to work with... the presentation will turn out bad. Better to work with someone you can work with and you are comfortable with methinks." Arya laughed a little louder after she said methinks. "I never know when to use methinks, but it sounds so silly I had to say it," she said and opened her eyes after closing them from laughter. She ate the rest of her toast which was colder than the first time she bit it. When Madam Rosmerta came, Arya shook her head, "no thank you, Madam Rosmerta, I'm good," she said and turned back to Blake after she left. "I hope people choose non-European countries. I think most of-" she stopped in her thought, "I think the people should choose a country they have never been to before, to make the experience more fun and more beneficial."

Blake was back to nodding when Arya spoke to let her know he was listening and awake. There was something about the way that she spoke that was refreshing. Maybe it was the lack of decor to her words, no garnish. It was raw. It was what-- what he saw in Emery. Merlin, his thoughts kept coming back to that boy. "Well, the Headmaster encourages inter-house relations. He might make the suggestion to partner with someone outside of your house, even bribe them with points which would probably work... a lot of students as innocent as they are.. are tempted by greed." A bad thing really, to be tainted by greed so early in life but it happened and what was done could not be undone unless the victim was willing to expel their own demons. He tittered and raised his hand to his lips to stifle it, "It is a very silly word, outlandish. It does however make for a more 'spiced up' use of words." Smiling sweetly again when Madam Rosmerta left, he caught her last thoughts as he stirred honey into his new cup of tea. "Non-European? I think I know what I could choose then."

"Well, I think most people work better when they pick their own partners and I want this to be fun, not dreadful, so I think picking would be best," Arya said to Blake and started on her second piece of strawberry-jam covered toast. "I don't think working with someone because you have to work with them is the best choice," Arya said as her toast fell on the floor. "Oh no!" Arya cried out and reached down to get the dust tainted toast. She put it back on the plate and pushed it to the side and let out a sigh. The jam was so good too... Arya stared at her toast which teased her then looked at Blake who caught her interest once again, "oh really? What do you want to do?"

"Right you are Ms. Rith. It is ideal the festivities are not ruined by a pair who decided hexing and cursing one another is far more important than sharing the knowledge they have accumulated." He watched Arya attempt to salvage her piece of toast and look even further crestfallen when she slid the plate away and glanced at it from the corner of her eye or flat out stared at it. He smirked devilishly with shielded eyes, bringing a finger to his lips and making a hushing sound. "Now now young Ms. Rith, that is my little secret if your plans come to fruition." He felt very done with his tea and slid his saucer away; the plate of flaky and warm crumpets he had ordered were still pretty much all on his place, he had only eaten one half of one crumpet. "May I offer you a crumpet or three Ms. Rith? They're delectable."

Engel walked into the Three Broomsticks and described his young master to the owner of the place, a kindly woman with a fierce look in her eye. She pointed over to the table by the window where he sat with Arya, the two still speaking amiably in hushed words and a few smiles or laughs. He excused his intrusion when he interrupted the conversation, "Young master, you must return home now. You have an early day tomorrow and a fitting with your mother for the--" Blake waved his hand and nodded, "That's all fine and good Engel, give me a moment to say my goodbyes and I will see you outside." Engel nodded, excused himself again, and left. "Young Ms. Rith, it seems my time has come to an end. Thank you for a most wonderful time. Your bright eyes warm my heart and soul." He brought up Arya's hand to his lips and kissed the back like a gentleman should, letting her drop it to her side. "Until the next, auf wiedersehen." Taking out a good chunk of galleons, he paid the meal and tipped fairly well but made sure to tell Madam Rosmerta if the young lady wanted anything else, to charge him on the excess he left. Blake walked out to meet with Engel, his steps precise and smooth.

"You've hardly eaten," Jake mumbled walk off to order. He came back minutes later with two plates, one empty and one filled with roast beef. "Just in case." He set it down to go get their drinks.

Jake came back with a pitcher of butterbeer and two mugs. He set them down and poured them each a glasses before sitting down and smiling. "There we are."

"Good thinking," Nyssa said leaning back in her chair. "What happened to the guy who didn't like Hogsmeade?"
