"True." Effy said, taking another sip of Butterbeer, "So, enough about school, tell me about yourself."

"Er...tell me about your family." Effy suggested.

"My family? Well, it's sort of complicated...but in short, my parents both died when I was little. I went through a few foster families, all magical, and the last one adopted me. I also have an adopted sister. What about you?%Pr

"Well, my father and sister died a little over a year ago, and my mother remarried this past summer. So now I have a stepfather and an older stepbrother and a younger stepsister."

"It's alright, I guess. My stepfather, Mark, is alright. He's a doctor at St. Mungo's so he's really rich, which is nice because my mum and I were struggling for a little bit, but he's not that good of a father. He doesn't really take part in his kid's lives, which is fine for me because I don't really want to spend time with him, but I feel bad for my step siblings. But my mum's happy, so that's all that really matters," Effy explained, surprised she was telling all of this to a boy she barley knew.

"Well, my brother, Jason, is the same age as me, but he didn't get into Hogwarts so he's going to another school in Britain. He's pretty cool, he just doesn't really try that hard in school, and his friends are real...well, you know..." Effy said, "And Anna is 8, so she's still at home, but Mark sends her to a Muggle school, which she hates. But she's really cute."

"My sister is awesome, she's my best friend. She's going to an all girls school in France, though, and I miss her so much. She's also your age, you would probably like her."

((Yeah, for sure. I'll talk to you later!))
Effy and David continued to talk for the next couple of hours, staying to have dinner at the Three Broomsticks. They finally made their way back to the castle on the last train of the night.

Cedric let Blake down and pulled out chairs for both of his guests and then sat down. "Madam Rosmerta, good to see you again." The woman smiled and laughed, "Good to see you too love, what will you all be having?"

Blake took a seat with a thank you and took in Hogsmeade's famous Three Broomsticks bar without the fear of being caught, he had permission now. "I would love a butterbeer, Miss, and anything sweet would be nice!"

"Just a butterbeer, thank you," she said distractedly taking off her coat. She should have done this before she sat down.
