Jake had gotten Nyssa's owl and came to the Great Hall. "Hey mind if I sit here?" he asked, not wanting to interrupt.

"I'm not sure," Effy said, "I don't really know what needs to be done. Right now I just need to send owls out, I guess, which I don't need help with. But I might have something I need help with later." Effy looked up when Jake walked over, she didn't mind if he sat with them as long as Nyssa and him didn't get all coupley.
