"Just couldn't sleep," Effy said. "I woke up around 5 and couldn't fall back asleep." She looked at the time, "I should go get ready for class, I'll see you later!" Effy finished the last of her coffee and headed out of the Great Hall.

Gavin entered the great hall and sat down at the Ravenclaw table. He waited for Nyssa to arrive before he would set himself a plate.

"Same to you," Gavin said and smiled when Nyssa arrived. He decided it was time to get some grub. He took a plate of his normal turkey sandwich for lunch. "I'm thinking about throwing a masquerade, if you haven't heard."

Effy walked into the Great Hall, a stack of books in her arms from her last class. She saw Gavin and Nyssa at the table and walked over to them and sat down. "Hello!" she said brightly, pouring herself some cranberry juice.

"Oh, yes, I've been meaning to owl you about that. We need to pick a date and send out invitations. I also had a few more ideas to go along with yours," she said, not knowing if Gavin was open to telling others about his idea.
