"Um excuse me, Draco, may I have a word?"

Draco decided to make a copy of the original for good measure and to send along, tucking away the original and now pausing in copying, "Yes Mr. Black, what may I do for you?" He'd hold no petty grudges towards his housemates.

Griffin stared at Draco for a moment, putting together what he wanted to say in his mind. "I apologize for anything I may have said tonight, but you must understand how much you mean to Pansy. Excuse me for not using formalities, I feel that they will only get in the way at the moment. Anyways when you act like you have in recent days, it's hard on her. I know that I haven't known her as long as you or you as long as her, but I can tell that you two should be a lot closer than you have been lately."

Draco's blank face gave away nothing as he replied to Griffin, "Mr. Black, I truly appreciate your concerns and am quite thankful to know you look out for Pansy. Though I perhaps have the ability to help they way I act, it would not be me to do so. I react the way and do and respond the way I do because that is just who I am and how I've grown to be. Pansy and I should be so close that people should ask if we're siblings despite our looks, but transgressions arise and surely you must know what that does to a friendship when they get personal? Though I can not promise you I will change, I can promise you that I will protect her even in my periods of indifference. She will never be alone, not fully." As Draco awaited to see if Griffin would respond, he returned to finishing his copying and then broke into his letter with 'To the head of the ancient and honourable Malfoy estate: It has come to my attention while away..'

Griffin nodded and smirked a little. "Don't worry Mr. Malfoy," he said, returning to formalities, "I am not among the number of females in this house that always saw you and Ms. Parkinson as more than just friends, although I must admit that at times things seemed to be that way. I appreciate the fact that Ms. Parkinson will always have you to rely on, even though I wish you would show it more often." Griffin stretched and continued, "It is no matter though, that is business between you two and I am in no position to judge." Griffin opened the curtains and landed on his bed next to Neko. "Well I wish you good night Mr. Malfoy, please try to catch some sleep, I believe we all need some after today's, and in large part tonight's, events." And with that he shut the curtains. He waved his wand, changing into his pajamas and casting a charm on the curtains so that one could only open them from the inside. He didn't want anyone to barge in with Neko sleeping in his bed.
Griffin laid down next to Neko and nuzzled up against her. He kissed the sleeping girls forehead before closing his eyes and drifting off into sleep.

Draco decided not to respond, as he was in the middle of the second piece of parchment, but he gave Griffin a good night. He paused again, sometime after he started the last piece, to look at Blake's bed. He still wanted to know what had bothered the boy so much he had broken down in the dormitories. Shaking himself from such thoughts, he continued his writing vigorously. He'd send this out later today and get a reply soon he hoped, with good news.
Draco dried the three pieces of parchment and organized them, putting the original copy of Pansy's letter as the last sheet. He sealed them away in an envelope and put it in his trunk along with his quill. He'd sleep in the commons again, tonight. Though sadly, this would be without company.

Neko slowly opened her eyes to find herself once again waking up next to Griffin. She looked around, wondering how she got in the boy's dormitory. Not ready to get up quite yet, she curled up, not sleeping, but just keeping herself worm and comfortable under the covers.

Griffin woke up and saw that Neko was awake. "Good morning Neko," he said with a smile.

Neko smiled. "Good morning." She said, holding back a yawn. "How did I get in here?"

Griffin smiled. "You nearly fell asleep back at the Three Broomsticks. I brought you up here so you could sleep peacefully. I hope you don't mind."

Neko blushed, a bit embarassed that she fell asleep so easily. "I don't mind at all." She said as she got up from the bed and brushed the wrinkles out of her clothes.

Griffin smiled and stretched. "You're the cutest thing when you're barely awake, you know that right?" he said with a little laugh moving to the edge of the bed.

Neko felt her face get warm and covered her cheeks with her hands. "Oh, that's embarassing." She whined.

Griffin got up and hugged Neko. "Why's it so embarrassing?" he asked laughing a little.

Neko hugged back. "It just is." She said, still sounding a bit like she was whining.
