Hermione entered the common room from the girl's dormitory in her sleeping robes and sat down on the love seat by the fireplace. She was holding a book and at once cracked it open. She had felt the urge to read while attempting to fall asleep, and instead of disturbing her fellow dorm mates, she retreated herself to the common room. She read.

Hermione was sitting on the floor by the fireplace with runes work spread around her. She was trying to decipher them intently.

Ron walked into the room through the portrait after giving the Fat Lady the password and saw Hermione. He was nervous and cleared his throat a little before flopping down on a couch and greeted her,"Good evening,Hermione."

Ron looked over to her and just nodded and smiled. He didn't want to be disturbing Hermione doing her work. He looked around to see that the common room was half-filled with students. After all,it was a Sunday. Maybe some are not back from Hogsmeade.
