Jake got another apple out of his robes, holding it out to the second horse as he stroke its mane. "Be careful," he said to Nyssa. He watched her riding the wing horse with a huge smile as it swept over the trees.

The horse did one loop around the top of the clearing before landing. This was the part Nyssa was dreading now that she thought about it. As the horse neared the ground she leaned back. The landing was surprisingly graceful for a horse of its size. The horse walked back over to Jake, Nyssa assumed because it was looking for another treat. Nyssa hugged the horse's neck when they got there. It was quite the experience.

Jake was so excited for Nyssa he could hardly contain himself but he did as to not scare the horses. He set down his sketchpad on the rock and pat Nyssa's horse with both hands, thanking it for giving her a safe trip. "How was it?" he asked her with a big grin.

"Amazing," Nyssa said with a huge grin on her face. She was still resting her head on the horse's neck. "Absolutely amazing!"

"That's fantastic, Nyssa. I am so happy for you," Jake said now petting both horses who seemed to have him trapped. "I think they want more food."

"Sounds like a horse to me," Nyssa laughed. "Eating anything and everything in front of them. It gets them into trouble sometimes."

"I don't have anymore," Jake told the pair. "I didn't know I'd be meeting you tonight." He shrugged to Nyssa with a smile as one gently nudged his head with it's own.

"They seem to like you," Nyssa remarked. She sat up on her own horse and decided to dismount. After getting off she sat down next to Jake. "Can I see?" she asked with a gesture to his sketch book.

Jake looked at Nyssa doing his impersonation of a fish again. He figured it would be weird if he said no so he nodded yes, turning his complete attention to the horses.

Nyssa took the sketch pad from him. She looked at the first couple of pictures of the horses. "These are beautiful," she said turning the page. She reached a drawing of her on the back of the horse. She didn't quite know what to say. It was just as beautiful as the others but had a quality of having been drawn with much more care.

"They aren't that good..." Jake muttered quietly, still trying to distract himself with the horses.

Nyssa flipped quickly through the rest of his sketches noticing he didn't have a single drawing of a person apart from that one. "Jake," she started still surprised by the sketch, pleasantly so.

"Yeah?" Jake asked, moving back to pet the horse's necks.

"Why is this the only drawing of a person you have in here?" Nyssa asked her heart beating in her throat. She wasn't sure why she was nervous asking the question.

Jake closed his eyes and went red again. He sometimes figured that's why he was in Gryffindor, he matched their red coloring when embarrassed. "I haven't ever drawn anyone before," he answered her, not speaking very loudly. "Ever."
