Once Lydia had explained Madam Pomfrey went to work. Lydia sat on a nearby chair feeling rather guilty.

Theo looked over to Lydia, motioning for her to come closer as the woman set to work on fixing his arm. "Don't I get a pain potion or something" he snapped at Pomfrey. She walked off to get him one mumbling to herself.

Lydia moved closer and sat on the edge of the bed. "I'm sorry."

Theo gave her a questioning look. "Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything."

"I chose the willow. I could have chosen something safer." She sighed heavily.

He laughed and then cringed. "Safer? We were racing and it was not your fault I was unable to control my own broom. It wasn't the Willow, it was me. I decided to accelerate when I knew I shouldn't have." He grabbed her hand with his uninjured hand. "Do not blame yourself."

She nodded slowly and sighed. "Thank you Theo." She smiled. "But you know I'm going to worry anyway." She kissed his cheek and heard Madam Pomfrey give a huff. "She kind of blamed me." She sighed.

He smiled. "Love, you gave her too many details. The less the better." He winked at her as Pomfrey came back and gave him a potion. "Don't leave, all right?"

She nodded. "I won't." She took his hand gently. She was quiet, thinking too much again.

He squeezed her hand and waited for his arm to be healed. "Stop thinking, Lydia. I can hear the wheels turning." Madam Pomfrey put his arm in a sling and after a brief argument about him spending the night he was free to go with pain potions in hand.

She sighed. "Alright." She nodded. "Tomorrow's the funeral so I'll be going to that." She explained. "When I come back we can have dinner." She smiled lightly.

He nodded. 'It's a deal." He stood. "Where to now?"

"Back to the common room." She smiled. She still felt guilty but was doing her best not to.

He nodded. "Since I'm injured and you'll be gone tomorrow can we be a little mushy?" He put his free arm around her and walked her out with another thank you to Madam Pomfrey.

"Perhaps a bit." She smiled. "But I do need to talk to Amber before we do be a bit mushy." She explained lightly.
