That wasn't what he meant but Jake let it go. "I'm sure she'll be thrilled." He kissed the side of her head still rubbing her back, happy to be there.

"You don't sound too convincing," Nyssa said melting again as he rubbed her back. "Was that not what you were talking about?" She had suspected that but didn't want to seem self-centered and make the assumption verbal.

Nyssa allowed Jake to pull her closer. She was tired of standing so she broke away from him long enough to jump up on the ledge next to him.
