Nyssa walked up to the top of the astronomy tower still crying silently. She sat on the ledge dangling her legs over the edge.

Jake walked up and saw Nyssa there. Hopping up next to her he smiled a little trying to stop her from being so sad. "I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing," Nyssa said looking down at her feet dangling over the edge. "I can't really blame him."

"No," Jake sighed. "I might have got him made before he talked to you. It had to have been before because he would have done something if it was after..." He put his arm around her. "So I'm sorry but I'll stop saying that if you stop blaming only yourself."

"Deal," Nyssa said extending her right hand to shake on it. She would probably still blame herself inside but she couldn't bear to hear Jake apologizing.

"Not particularly," Nyssa answered him. She was still crying a bit and was quite thankful it was too dark for him to see even though she knew he could tell.

"I realize you aren't alright. I meant he didn't do anything to you, did he?" Jake tightened his grip on his arm that was around her and moved closer. "I have a great shoulder to cry on."

Nyssa leaned her head against his shoulder. "He didn't physically hurt me, no. A part of me wished he did. It would be easier to deal with than the yelling."

"I would be in Ravenclaw Tower right now if he had. I know you're upset Nyssa but everything will be alright," Jake said.
(Maybe they don't expect us to be up this late on a Monday/Tuesday haha)

"There isn't a very good way to tell someone you kissed another bloke, Nyssa. You thought he deserved to know, I'm guessing, so you told him. You didn't kiss yourself so you aren't the only one to blame," Jake said.
