Pansy looked out the the lake again happy to have the astronomy tower to herself. It was one of the reasons she liked being a prefect, she could come up after curfew and look at the stars. If that meant breaking up a picnic then so be it. She was in Slytherin and wasn't knowing for being selfless. To be honest she could have lost her temper and cursed some but she didn't. Looking up at the stars relaxed her and she watched them for a while.

After a while and now fully relaxed Pansy looked out to the lake once more. She turned to leave the tower with a smile on her face.

Nyssa wandered up to the top of the Astronomy tower to do some thinking. She took out some parchment and started on a completely unrelated letter back home. It was too hard to focus on the letter with so many other thoughts in her head.

Effy walked up the stairs and found Nyssa. "Hey," she said, "is something wrong?"

Nyssa took a deep breathe before plunging into the story"Well there were a bunch of us in the Three Broomsticks. Jake brought me flowers because I was really upset the last time he had seen me and then Gavin just went off on him, then me. Then Jake called him out on talking to me like that. Then Gavin made some comment about how he had the right to know why a guy was giving his girlfriend flowers then he asked me to leave with him." Nyssa finished her story with a sigh. "It was an interesting afternoon."

"Yeah," Nyssa nodded slowly. "That sums it up quite nicely. Last I knew he didn't consider me anything special so it took me completely by surprise."

"Well, what did he say afterwards?" Effy asked. "He still might be a little messed up from before, too," Effy said, referring to his unconsciousness.

"He said that he got really jealous and apologized then later kept reiterating how much he cared about me," Nyssa said. "It was just odd."

"I can't make that decision. He's been unconscious for most of the time since we went out," Nyssa said. "He seems different now too."

"I dunno," Nyssa said. "We have more in common than Gavin and I do. But I don't even know Gavin all that well because as I said... he's been in a hospital bed for so long."
