Jake turned to face her. "Nyssa I know that Lily feels bad but I can't help the way I feel. I'm sorry you're so sad, if I could I'd make it stop."

Jake sighed and put his face in his hands. He had been thinking about something all day and didn't want to deal with it now. "I want us to be happy. I don't want you to drive yourself crazy over this," Jake said from inside his hands.

Nyssa stood up and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Have a good night," she said then whispered. "I'm sorry," more to herself than him and turned to leave.

"Nyssa wait!" Jake said and got up walking over to her. "Don't say you're sorry. All I want is for you to be happy." He kissed her quickly not caring who was around and left.

Nyssa just stood there in shocked. She couldn't believe he just kissed her in the middle of the Great Hall. By the time she recovered he had already left so she wanded up to Ravenclaw tower.
