Charlotte walked into the Great Hall and sat down at the Ravenclaw Table for lunch. She served herself something to eat and pulled out the Daily Prophet to read.

Nyssa slowly walked into the Great Hall carrying her cage full of cocoons. Noticing the new girl she walked over and sat down across from her. She carefully set the cage down on the table before serving herself some lunch. "How have your first couple of days been?"

It was time for lunch and Gavin walked to the Ravenclaw table. He spotted the transfer student, Charolette and Nyssa and decided to join the two girls for lunch. Gavin sat down at a seat, sitting near Nyssa so he could look at Charolette. "Hello, Nyssa," Gavin said and looked at Nyssa before turning to Charolette, 'Charolette," he said before getting a turkey sandwich to eat.

"Alright," Charlotte answered, "They've been a bit overwhelming, but I'm slowly getting used to everything." Charlotte gazed at the cage Nyssa had brought with her, "Care of Magical Creatures?" she asked, assuming that it was for a class. "Hi Gavin," she said as he sat down.

"How are you doing today, Charolette? Is everyone at Hogwarts treating you well?" Gavin asked Charolette as he poured himself a glass of juice. After hearing Charolette's reply, Gavin assumed Nyssa was asking the same thing about Hogwarts and he did not want to shower Charolette with the same questions she'd hear all day from people.

"Hey Gavin," Nyssa said. "I can imagine. Hogwarts isn't exactly small. No, they were a present and one of them is starting to emerge." She turned the cage so Charlotte could see the split cocoon.

"I'm well," Charlotte answered Gavin, "And Hogwarts is treating me very nicely. It seems like it is a million times bigger than my old school," she said to both Nyssa and Gavin, "But I'm not complaining," she laughed. She took a closer look at the coccon, "Are they butterflies or moths?" she asked Nyssa, not knowing the difference.

Gavin's eyes looked at the cocoon cage. A... gift? Gavin did not want to ask. He looked back at Charlotte, "have you met anyone from other houses?" he asked, "if you don't know, or possibly might, I would try to stray away from Slytherin. They may not treat you with kindness."

"No, I haven't," Charlotte said to Gavin, "Actually I've only really met you two and Amira." To Gavin's note about the Slytherins, Charlotte asked, "And why is that?'

"Butterflies," Nyssa said with a nod. "Not sure which kind this one is. I'm not really familiar with British butterflies to be honest."

"Did you know that 'Butterfly' is a spoonerism for 'Flutter By'?" she said to Nyssa.

"To put it nicely, Slytherins are very-house orientated. Most Slytherins look down upon the other houses and find the other houses inferior to them," Gavin looked over at the almost-empty Slytherin table before looking back to Charlotte, "you can try talking to some," Gavin said, "I'm well-familiar with one, but he is my future business partner and that is all."

"I did not," Nyssa said with a smile. "Not all Slytherins are bad. I'm friends with a couple and on decent terms with most of them. They won't be too mean to you because you aren't a Gryffindor."

"I'm sure they can't be that bad," Charlotte said with some naïveté, for she had not yet met a Slytherin or anyone similar. She was not used to a school that had different houses, so the only rivalry she was used to was between years.

Jake walked up behind Nyssa. "Are you talking about me? I heard the word of my most wonderful house as I walked up," he said kissing he cheek and then greeting the others. "Hello."
