Griffin walked over to the Ravenclaw table. "Well it was a pleasure meeting you two and I would sit down and eat but," he paused, "my house mates would look down on me. Please don't take it personally." He gave a weak smile and walked out of the Great Hall.

"True. At least he's upfront about it though." Amira said, she liked it better when people were honest with themselves and others.

Amira exited the Great Hall along with some other students. She had a bad feeling about tonight for some reason.

David entered the Great Hall and sat down at the Ravenclaw Table. He served himself dinner and then took out his school things to begin working on the Defense Against the Dark Arts assignment.

amira and effy walked in and sat near David. Amira smiled at Effy,"Thanks for cheering me up." She poured them both some pumpkin juice.

Amira laughed with her. She looked at David doing Defense against the Dark Arts homework. "I'm so glad we finally got a teacher, what are you going to write for the assignment?"

"I thought I'd write about magical creatures and how to defend yourself against them. I think that would be really interesting." David told Amira. 'What are you two writing about? That is, if you're taking the course."

"Of course, I've been looking forward to it it would be nice to have a normal teacher for once. I'm not really sure what to write about. I was just thinking about writing about defensive spells and how it would come in handy, just in case, especially now."

Effy looked at Amira, wondering if she was thinking about the past couple of nights.
"I was thinking of writing about defensive charms, they're definitely my favorite type of spell."

"Those are both good ideas. I don't really see how you could go wrong with this assignment. Professor Lupin seems like a really good teacher, too. I really like his grading system." David said, glad to be talking with Effy, and even more glad that Amira was there, too.
